2020 Winter NAMM Show Report
January 2020: Thank you for visiting the Eleven Dimensions Media booth at the NAMM Show. It was great to reunite with so many industry friends, make new ones, hear great live performances all around at every hour of the day and night, and see the newest, most cutting-edge pro audio gear in the world.
A NAMM highlight for the 11D team was being invited to the TEC Awards, which celebrate the best in pro audio and sound production. This year's ceremony included a moving retrospective on the musical career and achievements of Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell, who was on hand to receive the Les Paul Innovation Award.
Welcome BOME Software!
We're happy to announce that Eleven Dimensions Media has added BOME Software to its product lineup. The BomeBox MIDI Hub for Stage & Studio and MIDI Translator Pro are our first products from BOME, and received a lot of interest from booth visitors interested in advanced MIDI control – even without a computer.
Here's a recap of the latest pro audio gear we demoed in the booth:
ESI Audiotechnik showed off their latest planet 22x Dante audio interface, uniK 05+ & uniK 08+ reference monitors, MoCo monitor controller, and the new U22 XT cosMik interface/microphone/headphone bundle (all bundle components are also available separately).
reProducer Audio Labs offered listening demos of their Epic 5 compact studio monitors, and a sneak peek at the Epic 55, with double the power of the original – check out the booth gallery to see the Epic 55.
PSI Audio demoed their latest– the A23-M three-way studio monitor, which features handmade mid and tweeter drivers.
Teknosign's new Box Line of miniature portable audio devices was on hand to try out, along with a new line of Lunchbox 500 Series format effects and devices – check out the booth gallery for a preview, more info coming soon!
Zynaptiq demonstrated some of the most innovative plug-ins available, from 2019's best plug-in of the year – INTENSITY, the innovative ADAPTIVERB, the mind-bending WORMHOLE, and other incredible plug-ins like PITCHMAP, UNFILTER, and the forthcoming ORANGE VOCODER.
Zynaptiq and Mac fans will also be excited to learn that the new Mac Pro we used for main stage demos during the show was able to play 93 – yes, you read that right! – 93 instances of ADAPTIVERB in Logic Pro X! Wow, that's some power – way to go Apple!
