2022 NAMM Show Report
June 2022: Thank you for visiting the Eleven Dimensions Media booth at the NAMM Show. It was really nice to get out from behind our computer screens, and reunite with so many industry friends from around the world, and make new ones! It was great to get back to LA, and a nice change of pace to have the NAMM Show in early summer. The weather was great in the mornings and evenings, and made for good times away from the show floor too.
Representatives from suppliers Zynaptiq and PSI Audio travelled over from Germany and Switzerland, respectively, to help set up the booth, and demo their latest wares in person.
The booth featured a Zynaptiq demo stage area, a PSI Audio speaker auditioning area, and a shared, hands-on area where visitors could try out and get info on products from ESI Audiotechnik, reProducer Audio Labs, BOME Software, Ploytec, Audified, Auro3D, UltraMixer, and Teknosign.
We had live software demos from Zynaptiq – showing off their upcoming ORANGE VOCODER 4 and a new Mac Apps Bundle. This new bundle is expected to be out later this summer, and includes TRIUMPH, which is an advanced multi-channel/multi-track sample editor and sound design tool. Also included is MYRIAD, a batch processing application, SPECTRE, a highly customizable, network-compatible metering app, and LOOP EDITOR, a utility app for processing and tagging audio loops.
In addition to this exciting new bundle, Zynaptiq also showed their amazing ADAPTIVERB AI-based reverb, the otherworldly WORMHOLE sound design/fx tool, PITCHMAP polyphonic pitch processor, the award-winning INTENSITY "make stuff sound better" plug-in, UNFILTER, UNVEIL, UNMIX:DRUMS, MORPH 2, and on and on... :) (Really the best way to learn about these amazing plug-ins is to watch some YouTube demos download the trial versions. Check each product's page for details.)
Booth visitors learned about hardware products from PSI Audio, reProducer Audio Labs, and ESI, and were able to physically pick them up, handle them, count the inputs and outputs, twist the knobs, tap the pads, try them out, see how they sound, compare, and ask questions all about them. Our mobile guitar recording station featuring the ESI UGM192 was a bit hit, and people were surprised to learn that they could record guitar onto their phones or tablets with this ultra-portable rig.
Small and highly portable products (such as interfaces and controllers from ESI Audiotechnik, the BomeBox MIDI hub, and Ploytec PL2 micro synthesizer) were also very popular with show attendees, many of whom talked about the need to travel with gear, or having to work in much smaller studio spaces these days.
